Second major award for Intuition’s mobile learning solution in six months

Dublin, Ireland - 24 November, 2008 - Intuition, a leading global provider of learning services to the financial markets, life sciences and the public sector, today announced it won a prestigious award for its work in delivering mobile learning for BlackBerry smartphones at the 2008 BlackBerry® EMEA Alliance Summit.

Intuition was chosen from more than one hundred entrants as the winner of the Transforming Enterprise Business Performance award for its innovation in mobile learning. The award was presented during a gala ceremony at the 2008 Wireless BlackBerry EMEA Alliance Summit in Monte Carlo. The judging panel selected Intuition’s mobile learning application for delivering new services to clients that provide a competitive advantage, improved productivity and a proven return on investment.

"Intuition has almost 25 years' experience of applying technology to education and training with the objective of maximising business impact. We are delighted to have won this prestigious award for our mobile learning technology," said Keith O'Loughlin, Head of Technology Services at Intuition. "Winning the award is recognition for our continuous research into leveraging the latest technology channels to deliver knowledge and learning for improved business performance."

In May of this year, Intuition’s mobile learning technology was further recognised as a finalist at in the Innovation in the Private Sector category at the 2008 Wireless Enterprise Symposium in Orlando, Florida. The award acknowledged Intuition’s work delivering mandated learning to BlackBerry smartphone users at Merrill Lynch.

Intuition’s mobile learning technology was developed to extend the reach of learning to the mobile workforce. The application, which is scalable to tens of thousands of users, provides access to learning materials during naturally occurring downtime, such as the daily commute or when travelling on business. The technology also tracks learners’ progress and records it directly to an organisation’s central learning management system.
